Hi, My name is Marc and I have to admit to being something of a Cubase Nerd! I´m currently using a very stable version of SX3 on Xp Pro with an EMU 1616m interface. I also have a desktop system running Cubse LE and system linked to my laptop to take the load off the CPU and running the main Softsynths which include Proteus SX and Emulator X2 sampler and the Korg Digital Legecy Collection along with quite a few good quality free Plug-ins.
I have achieved a 52 track mix on this system – 49 audio tracks and 3 midi which is quite a feat in its self, plus i managed to keep the cpu load to less than 50% – so I like to think of myself as a power user - lol. Any questions you may have, i´ll be happy to field as I write my daily articles. My goal is to turn this site into a helpful resource without the associated flaming of the traditional forum where topics can become distracted away from the main point. I hope you find it useful and should you feel the need to contribute I shall publish polite and useful information whilst binning anything derogative or off topic.
I´m hoping to upgrade to Cubase 4 when a few more of its issues are sorted out but I do have access to a copy on a friends computer running alongside a nice shiny MOTO 24 in/out interface. For now I´ll stick with my working version of SX3 as theres not much extra I have seen in V4 to make me want to change in a hurry.
